MMJ Consulting was founded by Melissa Cheesman. Melissa is an experienced political lobbyist and communications specialist who has worked with some of Australia’s leading companies and organisations over nearly 20 years: to secure government funding, shape government policy and program development, amend legislation, manage issues and overcome regulatory and public opinion challenges.
Melissa has developed extensive political networks over two decades and has an in depth understanding of political processes and of policy development across a broad range of portfolios and industries.
Melissa has worked successfully with both Coalition and Labor Federal Governments and Oppositions, with the Greens, minor parties, independents and with senior public servants. Melissa is a registered lobbyist on both the federal and South Australian registers of lobbyists and adheres to the standards and ethics of the respective lobbying Codes of Conduct.
Melissa’s portfolio of work includes advising companies from the energy and resources sector, pharmaceutical, food and beverage manufacturing, defence, IT, aerospace and infrastructure industries.
